Radio Devon, Tonsils and final planning

I have no pretty pictures on this blog for you I'm afraid.

On Wednesday 18th May I went to the BBC Radio Devon studios in Plymouth so speak to Sophie Pierce, who was sitting in for Fitz on the Interactive Lunch.

I was greeted by the lovely Monica Ellis, made very welcome and taken through to wait to go in.

Sophie was very lovely, it was odd being there with so few people in the studio, as when I went on with John Govier we had a packed studio.
Sophie asked really good questions so I was able to get our story across, including our need for pasties!
I had to laugh, the song she played before interviewing me was 'Maneater" haha, whoa here she comes, watch out boys she'll chew you up! So funny!

Anyway, all was well, and I managed to squeeze in the words 'Nimble Runner' just so that my tweeting friend would donate £10 so all was good.

I'm still on the iplayer until next Wednesday if you didn't catch it and fancy a listen?

Tuesday 17th I took Boxercise, but my gland on the left side of my neck was swelling up. My throat was sore and by 9pm I felt rubbish.
Spoke to the doctor Wednesday morning and it turns out I have tonsillitis. She said to rest and go back if I get any worse.
By Thursday I had got worse and had to receive treatment, so I am currently laid up resting and trying to get better before next week.

Whilst I'm laying in my sick bed I have been making last minute lists and prep for the run.
We can no longer do Exmouth to Plymouth! We have to do Starcross to Plymouth as there is no ferry from Exmouth until 10.30!
The Dart ferry are letting us runners go across for free! Bless them!

I'm going to be emailing the team and support crew a list of what we will all need to bring etc.

If I felt well I would be more excited, another day of rest and I'll be fine *crosses fingers*

Probably only one more update until the event, then there will be a lot to read as I'm taking pictures of the whole run : Epic!

See you soon
D :)
