All good news today folks!
My ankle actually resembles an ankle rather than a massive cankle bruising coming out a treat!
Its looking like a speedy recovery for me :)
Saw a sports physio last night and got some exercises to do, going to try a bit of exercise bike tomorrow see how I go, only a short burst just to keep me sane!
Update soon

Injury update!
Morning!
Back at work today, got a lift in, still on crutches!
The ankle seems to be getting slowly better and swelling going down so fingers crossed for a speedy recovery so I can get training again.
The team are happy that they didnt go out Sunday and find it quite amusing that I did and got injured :(
Well, I guess you can say that I've learnt my lesson.
Back to the gym tonight to keep up my fitness lots of work on the fit ball and lots of sitting down punching! haha
Maybe next week some swimming as long as I can drive.

Training injury
Good morning,
Still laid up with peas on my ankle! The good news is that nothing was broken but I have badly sprained it.
Have crutches and getting quite nifty on them but not so easy in the ice!
The guys are coming to bring me my work laptop so I can at least crack on with some work.
Hope to make it in to the office tomorrow, weather and crutches permitting and the good news is that Torbay Leisure Centre is open over Christmas so I can swim!!
I guess this is a massive lesson to all of us really and at least I've done it now and not April!
Will keep you abreast of progress
Happy Solstice :) Debbie

Training accident
Afternoon all, am currently laid up on the sofa with frozen vegetables on my ankle waiting for the hospital to call me about my X-Ray result!
Yesterday about 2 miles in on a training run on the coastpath I slipped on a tree root, went flying and have now damaged my ankle.
Will keep you posted on what the outcome is but it goes to show just how difficult the run could be!

Snow may affect training
Discussed with the guys that if its snowing Sunday we will run in the New Year as a Team.
Daz is happy to get in some extra running over Christmas hols which is good.
The decision as to whether we run Sunday or not will be made tomorrow as we will see what the night brings for us weather-wise.
Fingers crossed it all goes overnight and no more snow but the forecast says different.

Snow may affect training
Team training may not be able to go ahead if the snow continues like this.
Not sure if Adam can get from Wiltshire and the coast is pretty snowy today.
Watch out here for updates and also on twitter @runningardener @swldevon and @dtsdevon
and also on our Facebook page Devon Tree Services LTD
Fingers crossed it doesnt affect us as I've been planning this training for ages.

This is our training t shirt supplied by SwiftprintSW how nice of them eh?
One of our runners isn't running now as he has an Ironman to contend with in May and would have been too much to do both in the same month so we'll let him off! haha
I'm starting to get excited about Sundays run, I have no idea why as we are doing the worst bit twice and its going to be exhausting but a good start to pushing ourselves anyway.
I'm thinking I may be too tired for Jazz Sunday night though haha.
Thanks for reading, back soon with another post :)

Almost time....
Only a few days to go until the team training event. I am pretty shattered after 2 days of landscaping so going to train tonight and rest up for a couple of days before Sundays run.
Nice load of pasta and chicken on Saturday night, stock up on haribo and I'll be fine!
last check tonight with the guys that they are coming Sunday and looking at starting about 9am in Brixham.
The Devon Tree Services and friends 103 mile challenge is slowly becoming a reality.

Newton Abbot and Mid Devon Advertiser
Heard today that the above Newspaper will be doing a story on us about the run.
They have a good photo too to use, no parkas in this one!
Fingers crossed that we get some sponsorship and support from it :)

Boats
Been trying to think all day whilst out in the shrubbery of how to get across the 3 rivers next May!
Coach and mentor had a good idea to contact Yacht clubs so that's next on my 103 'to do' list!
Fingers crossed that it works :)

First Post for the Devon Tree Services and Friends 103 mile South West Coast Path Challenge!
Just under a week until our second Team Training session, 22 miles from Brixham to Kingswear and back again! The hardest par of the section of path that we will be running so next Sunday will be a big big test for all of us.
Thinking will separate the men from the girls! (I am the only legitimate girl at this point, there may be others after Sunday )
Keep on following for more updates on our training.......................
